Scope of the project

The project consists of carrying out a profound energy modernization of the building of the Primary School No.11 in Jarosław and implementing energy efficiency education activities for pupils in classes I to IV of the Adam Mickiewicz Primary School No. 11 with integration units, rev. Stanisław Konarski Primary School No. 2 and Stefan Żeromski Primary School No. 4 in Jarosław. In addition, the project provides for information activities in accordance with Annex 3 to the Regulation on the implementation of the European Economic Area (EEA) financial mechanism for the period 2014-2021 “Information and Communication requirements” and project management.

Investment
The investment under the project will consist in both reducing the energy demand of the building and improving the efficiency of the heating system, the energy efficiency of the built-in lighting and the introduction of an RES component in the form of photovoltaic batteries.

Therefore, a comprehensive thermal upgrade is planned, consisting of:

  • insulation of the outer walls using a styrofoam,
  • insulation of ventilated flat roofs using eco fiber granules,
  • replacing aluminum windows with a new ones,
  • insulation of walls of the ground floor,
  • replacing existing boiler room technology with a modern condensing boiler with the power adjusted to the needs of the facility,
  • modernization the domestic hot water system,
  • installation of the photovoltaic panels,
  • replacement of the lighting with low energy consuming bulbs.

Investor’s inspector

In order to ensure proper supervision of the execution of the task, it is planned to employ an investor’s inspector.

Educational activities:
In the course of the school year 2022/2023, a weekly additional activity is planned with aim to raise awareness of energy efficiency and the use of RES among the youngest pupils. The aim is to develop appropriate ecological attitudes from the start of school education, through content and form adjusted to the recipient. This is particularly important in Jarosław, which is on the WHO list among the 50 most polluted cities in Europe.

Global education for the youngest– program for the 1st grade pupils: The aim is to make young recipients and their parents aware that living in the city can offer a high-quality environment.

Do not heat the atmosphere – program for the 2nd grade pupils: Changing attitudes and habits to green for children and parents, raising awareness of energy efficiency and renewable energy use (RES).

Green Detective: program for the 3rd grade pupils: The development of ecological, research-based attitudes in children, and their inclusion in activities aimed at understanding and protecting the environment.

Green energy in my healthy home – program for the 4th grade pupils: Raising awareness of environmental efficiency and the use of RES.
